Complexed

While writing on this blog, i hope that no one is viewing my post since it is not a pleasant one. As we all know, everybody has their ups and downs in life. And today, I'm coming to this blog with a whirl of complexed thoughts and emotions. Perhaps its just one of the lousiest week(s)i ever had in my 18 long years. Suddenly, i just felt that my life journey is going on a recession and losing control of myself. I seem to be losing real friends and worse still, the definition of a true friend.
In tertiary life, trust seem to be the last mention on the "friendship chart". The environment becomes so superficial and unfriendly. Hi-Bye friends are all that is. Do i really want to live in such a place? or should i adapt to such environment?
Self Assurance:
But one thing i surely know, i will NOT let this environment shape me! I am going to be different and make the difference! I believe in possibilities and the unchanging law of principles which God has created before mankind! Amen.

The Power of The Tongue

Today was a great day! It is Sunday, and as usual, i will attend church! And also as usual, the sermon is awesome! Today, Pastor How preached about the "The Power of The Tongue". How many of us actually know that the tongue can speak life and death? Yes! And indeed, we have the power to speak life or death into people's life! Imagine a scenario where you had a intense quarrel with your best friend. When he/she curses or speak evil you, how would you feel? Depressed? Low-Spirited? Frustrated? Disappointed? Feeling that your day has been ruined just because of all these discouraging words? Since the tongue has the power speak life and death into people's life, we must really start to understand and consider the feeling of others! Just being "careless" and the commonly said "I don't mean it!" will accidentally hurt the people that you actually care for and love.
In Ecclesiastes 5:6, it was mentioned "Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin". So if you have nothing good to say, don't say! For even a fool is wise when he shuts his lips(Proverbs 17:28).
In James 3:7, it was said "For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue." We can tame a pet, discipline a pet effortlessly. But how many of us will actually discipline our tongue and to tame it? Even a wild tiger can be tamed, so should the tongue be prevented from doing harm unto others!
The tongue is able to kill a person. Words of discouragement can kill a person's destiny. And by killing his/her destiny, he/she literally loses her purpose in life and thus the result of wasting life away. However, by speaking words of encouragement, we speak life into their lives, and if you heave a tongue that speaks life, your life will become lively and the people around you will always be lively and also happy to be around you. Because life brings joy and builds faith into people. Let's take Albert Einstein for example. When he was young, he was a slow learner, the worst in the class. The reason why he was one of the most intelligent man on Earth is obviously not because he was born talented nor was he a genius, but because someone believed in him and spoke words of encouragements to him. Not despising his abilities and really trusting and speaking faith into his life! He began to see hope and a bright future ahead of him rather than looking down on himself and giving up hope. How many of us know that, by speaking life with the tongue can actually cause a supposedly "dumb" person to become known as one of the world's most intelligent man is really a BIG difference? When you speak life, you speak faith, hope and love into that person. Immediately, his world of darkness brighten up and his destiny begin to shine and something unique actually births from within him. Therefore, speak life! Because God delights those who have control over their tongue, and that is the most important thing we must develop to become successful and trustworthy. Only those that are insecure and think lowly of themselves will discourage others to make themselves feel above others. Such people are much better left alone. Therefore, MIND YOUR LANGUAGE!

The Piano

Since young, I had a deep affection for piano. It has always been my dream to perform on stage with self-composed songs. This long awaiting has finally come! I was standing inthe midst of a grand hall, packed with thousands of audience and everyone was excited and pending for me to begin.
The hall was filled with anticipation and the noise level began to increase as people start to grow impatient.Suddenly, a loud bass note resounded the entire hall followed by a short pause. The scrambled voices of the crowd turned into tombstone silence as everyone brought their focus back on stage. The thought of the thousand pair of eyes staring at me just kept me trembling uncontrollably. Perhaps it was my first time performing in a concert.
I was literally shaking as I forced my hands back onto the piano and started playing the piece "Allegro con Spirito". As I listened and played the melody, this same unique feeling began to engulf my heart, almost immediately. The whole atmosphere was overwhelming and it felt like all the anxiety and fear had dissipated. This feeling has since become the source of motivation that keeps me going even when I was at my lowest point in life. I would'nt dare to imagine a day without my piano. It's like an oxygen tank which I had to depend on a daily basis.
After I finished playing the music piece, the crowd still remained silent. Many of them were moved to tears while the others simply stood still and kept quiet. This simple tool, the piano have brought tremendous impact into my life. In fact, piano is like my life. I remembered an occasion

Long Dinner?

19/9/07
Long Hot Summer Days at East Coast Park! If you frequent this area often enough, you should know how it's like to walk from parkwayparade to lagoon! YES! And 4 victims namely; Xueping, Birdie, Johnny and myself were involved in this course. This fateful day was due to a "thought".

5.30pm
Xueping : I "thought" it will not take us long to travel to lagoon from East Coast Park? (Yes, it won't take long if we are at the other end..)
Johnny and Birdie : No leh, I "thought" quite far one?
ME : Sigh..

30 minutes later..
Xueping : We are reachin soon right?
Johnny : After a pond i guess
Xueping : So is this the pond? (Apparently the whole of EastCoast is surrounded by water)
Johnny : Oh yeah! This is a pond.. but there is one more in front..
ME : Sigh..

15 minutes later..
Xueping : This must be the pond we are looking for!
Birdie : Hello! We are having dinner! Not the pond!
ME : SIGH..
Xueping : But I "thought"..
Birdie; Johnny; ME : SIGH!!

(The story as above is being edited for better effects)

45mins of unintentional exercise left us dehydrated and famished! It is really a miracle since we arrived at our destination, Lagoon! Don't you agee? In fact, you can say im the most fortunate survivor of them as i surprisingly had 2 meals before meeting them! God Bless!
Legs wobbly, tongues sticking out and panting madly, we dragged ourselves into "Lagoon", hopefully to find a seat. The only thing that caught our attention is a vacant table, filled with all the hopes and glory, our eyes were glued intensely to the table as we continued dragging our heavy feet to the table. Just when we thought that the table belong to us, every glimmer of hope shattered when this lady in her 40s, clothed in black dress, brown handbag hanging by her small shoulders and huge spectacles slithered past us and occupied the table. She was obviously aware about us! It was infuriating! But what can we do?
There are a number of things we could have done at the point in time :
1) Trip her as she walk past
2) Run towards the table like some demons! (Amen!)
3) Throw the seat along with her
4) Walk away and look for the scarcely available seats all over again

Being the kind and lovely 4 we are, we gladly chose option 4. (How I wished the other alternatives could be implemented as well)

The next thing I know, Johnny and I are already queue-ing for satay beehoon. However, Xueping came and took my place soon after, so I can buy stingray and cockles with Birdie! We had a sumptous dinner which we had to queue for 30mins!
Afterall, today was a memorable day! The long awaiting and shrewd lady will never be forgotten! -.- Honestly, Xueping, Johnny and Birdie really brighten up my day! Can't wait to go out with you guys again! Once again, special thanks to Xueping!kidding! =P

1ST TIME

In case you are wondering why my blog looks so empty today.. Don't be surprised! This is not an isolated blog nor a sheepish one. It is my 1st time blogging!! And since today marks such a remarkable occasion, I would like to give special thanks to my director cum asst director cum crew cum editor of this official blog, Xueping! And last but not least, the 1st to tag me, 1st to link me, 1st to see my post and 1st to put songs for me, Ms Apple-san! ARIGATO! And just before you start to think this apple must be someone im fond with, she is none other than.. our dearest.. nah i think its better to keep you in suspense! lalala.. ok and anyway im extremely grateful to Ms Apple-san, she is like my oka-san! kyu And having such a wonderful oka-san sometimes make me wonder if I can ever become independent.
If you ever thought of going to Temasek Polytechnic during your holidays, why not give me a call? Most probably I would give you a YES since im yearning to run another round in Bedok Reservoir, and I miss Business Park and all the fun-loving teachers! Met Mr Chiang today in his silky green collared-shirt and black long pants. Stephen and I almost mistook him as a staff cleaner when he waved to me. =S Met this peculiar yet simple lecturer in his 50s who was the only one left in the staffroom for me to consult certain issues with. Although I had forgotten his name, but my vivid memory tells me he usually had very few students attending his lectures! When I approached him today, he was rather shocked and said something like "are you sure you are looking for me?!" made me wonder whether I should really regard matters with him. But since I have lots of queries and afterall, he is a Principles Of Management Teacher; I decided to ask proceed on with my "meeting". This "meeting" which I intended to last 30mins only ended up in 5mins. Maybe I should not be consulting him in the 1st place.
